Carolina Wren: Kennebunk, Maine, USA, October 2025 — after a day when we had practically no birds at all (so few that I took a long walk around the neighborhood to see if I could find them…without success), yesterday there were birds at and around the feeders all day long. The days were not that different weather-wise. Both basically cloudy and on the cool side…typical damp fall days in southern Maine. Who knows. Anyway, I was out enjoying the traffic in the back yard when this Carolina Wren appeared, and spent at least half an hour with me, all over and under the deck. Sony a6700.
