Little Tinamou

Little Tinamou, The Lodge at Pico Bonito, Honduras

Another not great photo of a great bird. The Little Tinamou is a skulker of the deep Rainforest, more often heard than seen. Elmer, our guide for the Point and Shoot Photo adventure in Honduras, enticed this bird to cross an open trail some 8 feet wide by placing his recording and speaker in the bush at the far side of the trail from where we were hearing the bird call. Then we all stood back and waited. It would be a life bird for many in the group so they had their binos up…but I had my camera ready and got the shot. !!!
