Cedar Waxwing

image

Meadowhawks are emerging by the hundreds at one of my local dragonfly ponds, and the Cedar Waxwings are getting about 1 in 4 on their first flight. The tenral Meadowhawks are not strong flyers are pretty easy pickings. I have seen the Cedar Waxwings taking advantage of the bounty every year since I started watching the pond. Part of the cycle of life. 🙂

This waxwing looks to be all plunked out to great the weekend. I know the feeling.
