I don’t know why it should surprise me to see Song Sparrows along the tops of the cliffs overlooking the sea in La Jolla California. They are certainly abundant in the dunes behind our Maine beaches. This fellow popped up on the sidewalk railing while I was taking photos of Sea Lions on the rocks below and, of course, I could not resist.
