Wind on Snow
We got about 20 inches of snow overnight, and as soon as I shoveled out, I drove down along the coast to see what there was to see. Access was limited, as the plows were out, but far from finished. This is a shot of what the wind did along the back side of the dunes. The snow was just the right consistancy to for wind sculpting.
The Sony H50 has some preset scene modes, including Snow. The exposure was F5.6 @ 1/250th @ ISO 100. Snow Scene Programed Mode. The lens was zoomed out to about a 160mm equivalent to frame the detail.
I had to brighten this a bit in Lightroom, and I pulled some blue saturtion out to make the shadows more gray. Sharpen Landscape preset.
This is from the Winter Weather Gallery.
This is a real nice image the the snow is not blown out good job
