I have not started shoveling and snow-blowing out yet, as it is still well before dawn and light, but I expect we have a good foot of fresh snow, with some pretty massive drifts (and almost certainly one of them is in our driveway \ud83d\ude42 This shot is from our last, more moderate, 4 inch fall. We won&#8217;t see the sun today until noon when the snow tapers off. This is Branch Brook as it loops through the marsh at Rachel Carson NWR on its way to meet the Merriland River to become the Little. With our relatively extreme tides, our tidal streams always have the most interesting ice patterns.
