While there this Savannah Sparrow popped up and put on a little show for me. The Kennebunk Plains is one of the few places in Southern Maine where Savannah is likely to be seen. Further south, in Cape May, New Jersey for instance, I see them a lot right behind the dunes along the ocean, but for some reason, here, they rare in that habitat.
