I am in San Diego for a few days attending at Birding Festival (for work). This is the day after our most recent significant snow (and ice) storm. We are having many days this winter\/spring of snow, turning to rain, turning to ice. Not pleasant for travel, but sometimes visually beautiful. In this shot I really like the range of light, from open shadow to the sun on the reeds. I would have like to held more detail in the sky, but there was a low cloud there anyway, and, short of HDR,&#160; it was going white. (And I am not sure HDR would have gotten much.)<\/p>\n<p>Canon SX20IS at about 100mm equivalent field of view, f4.5 @ 1\/320th @ ISO 80.
