We don\u2019t see them often in southern Maine. They are there every summer, nesting, but they stay high in the canopy. We hear them sing, but they stay mostly out of sight. Seeing one at eye-level, as you occasionally do from the Magee Marsh boardwalk is a real treat. This might be a first year adult as it still has some yellow in the feathers. Olympus OM-1 with the 100-400mm zoom at 770mm equivalent. Program mode with my evolving birds modifications. Processed in Pixelmator Pro. ISO 250 @ f6.3 @ 1\/640th.
