interestingly, in a different genus than all other Jacanas\u2026a genus all its own, as it is its only member. Also interesting, I think, is the fact that references say the \u201ccarpal spur\u201d, the wing claws, on the Bronze-winged Jacana are reduced to nubbins on the wing\u2026but this bird has very prominent spurs\u2026scary looking! ??? I did a bit of poking around on the internet as I prepared this post, and I can find no references to spurs like this on the Bronze-winged Jacana. Again ?? Sony Rx10iv at 600mm equivalent. Program mode with my custom birds and wildlife modifications. Processed in Pixelmator Pro and Apple Photos.
