The light was gold, the snow was white, and this rusted farm implement was caught against both. As I was framing it, a cross country skier entered from the right, behind the machinery. It was only a matter then of zooming up to about 120mm equiv. and waiting until he got to the hot spot in the composition.<\/p>\n<p>Sony H9. F5 @ 1\/500 @ ISO 100. Programed Auto.<\/p>\n<p>In Lightroom, I had to apply a good deal of fill light for the foreground, and I used a little Clarity and Vibrance for overall effect.
