The Little here is a mix of salt and fresh, depending on the tide. Tides have been running abnormally high with lunar effects and storms combined this past month so when the cold snap came the ice that formed from a thin layer of fresh water floating on top of the salt was unique. The result was all kinds of interesting patterns\u2026like this one, caught against the flowing water which had dropped a few inches already on the changing tide. <\/p>\n<p>Sony DSC H50 at about 180mm equivalent.
